Hey all!!! I have been looking around (in the master sticky too ¬¬) and i can't find a tutorial to make an elevator... Once i found one but it never worked (im sure i did something wrong xD) So if anyone knoes how to make an elevator, or knows a link to a good tutorial, plz post it :D Thanks!!!

Make a func_plat and set the height to how far down you want it to go (or negative for up) place it where you want it to go at its highest point and it will start down however many units the hight for its start point. im in a hurry someone explane better if its confusing.

yeaah. No clue what the guy above me said. If you look in TMS for rich diesals mapping tutorials, it tells you how in one of them.

back ok what i said was:

  1. make a func_plat
  2. set the "height" key to how far u want it to travel
  3. place it at the top and it spawns at bottom.
  4. if you want it to start up you make the height negative and place it at bottom.

that make more sence?

...didn't you even read Gtk's manual?

Press F1 when you're in GtkRadiant to get the manual. It tells you definitions of almost all the entities, how to use them and what they do, among other general topics.

You should read it before advancing - it will tell you a lot of useful stuff.

Err, the negative height value doesn't work to set it at the top, does it?

i might be wrong i made an elevater start up but i cant remember if thats what i did or if there is a checkbox or something

I would make it as a func_door, for extra control over it.
