im trying to make maps... but is there a program that can load my map so i can "walk" in it without having to open JK...

No, you have to compile your map before you can test it. Just compile it as a BSP -Meta (the crappy compile option), this will compile your map without doing the advanced stuff. Then you load JK3 and use the/devmap command to load it. That's the only way.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

i knew that , but my question was :p if its able to preview your map without loading JK :uhm:

Like I said, the only program that lets you walk around a JK map is JK. Sorry.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

or zoom around is using the 3d window in radiant...chances are you already knew this. There is a q3minimizer which MIGHT facilitate an easier transition between the two progams, though. Never tried it and not to sure if you can edit maps while in JA. I suppose you might be able to make the map and save it as 2 different maps (ex. map_a map_b) and compile the one while viewing the other, and switching back and forth to view the work as you progress.
