Well it's long time since TFU is out and JAU project is started, we all make models of Starkiller etc TFU Stuff, but we don't have an Repulse yet. I know the lugormod where my friend Spior show me his force repulse for MP and I thinks it's nice. Well i have just thinking on some ideas, but I don't know are they really possible 'cuz i am not introduce with the C++. Since Raven won't give us SP SDK with "fixed" dll's, i think for useing some stuff from standart JKA SP. If we play with the other weapons i think on number 9 of my buttons there's one gun that shoot something like a rounded force wave that throws other characters just like the repulse saber. My thought here is : Can't someone better than me with efx, cfg and other scripts like them (maybe with little help from C++) to remove / edit the Dark Rage force power and instead of the original when players hit one button (like bind R to exec/use the Repulse) instead of the dark rage effect to "came out" from the character the effect of explosion of that gun but making a rounded wave like in original repulse, not just like befor we want something like an force atmosphere to warp out playermodel. And my 2nd idea at the moment is : If someone can make maybe with Dragon animation tool the Repusle movement make it usable in single player with no problems and just to put in it the explosion effect :uhm:

I'm sure someone mentioned (at the time of mass JAU hype) that somewhere in the coding for force (not sure entirely, but something like w_force.c in the source files) there are the various attributes of Force Powers. It was suggested by that someone that in the Force Push stats, there's an angle of effect at 180 degrees. Changing the '180' to '360' would give an all-around push. It's that 'simple.'

TFU was Force to the max (or as far as they could be bothered at the time... why not a Red Faction Guerilla sized map with fully destructable settlements?!) but I never really used Force Repulse. In my eyes, I preferred the Wii addition of making everything around you float before being shot ds, but that would require Force Push with 360 degress AND some form of auto-lock-on and usage of Force Choke (to make everyone float)

Anyway, since you can't do full-blown coding in SP, you'd have to use it in MP. And that'd be cheap. It'd be like the Buzzard helicopters in GTA4: Ballad of HappyTony. It's OK if the things you're attacking are just Euphoria'd Stormies, but on real people, it's just not fair and it stops others (who use 'proper' tactics) from enjoying the game.

I recall the original force repulse idea back when I was a part of JAU. They removed the model for the det pack, and gave detonation press thing an animation that mimcked force repulse, only problem was that if you had a bunch you could drop a bunch and then you could "repulse" all over the place, that and it also did damage to the player.

Oh it'd be pretty easy to code. I just don't think anyone's willing to. You could learn yourself, of-course..

@Raz0r, what u mean with code? a cfg file or what and i think it will need animation for repulse, but as i told i am not good with the animations, cfg, efx etc. , and with the dragon animation tool :( and i am too angry when i can't do something on the right way i need a lot of patience, but i can't.

Coding usually means modifying the JKA SDK code and compiling new DLLs for the game. Nothing to do with cfg, efx, etc., only c, h, def, sln and vcproj files :p

do you realize how many times this has been discussed, and never actually been finished, i'd suggest searching the forums for repulse and you may find some useful ideas

As it happens I'm making Force Repulse as part of a larger MP mod, it's not particularly complicated so I'll show you once I'm done.

@ Pwned! - um yes i know that, but i just want to post some of my ideas and other ppls who are better with their knowledge to post their opinion or to give new ideas. @ The One and Only um this is good but i am talking about Single Player Force Repulse and couldn't you make one :think: 'cuz i know u are so good with this part of modding in JKA, if we talk about the MP well i have one from lugormod by Spior but first i am not so big fan of the MP game i like more SP game and 2nd i have problems with my JK3's on my PC and notebook don't know why i try everything that may help and still can't understand why MP crashed or fucked up and its boring for me i love the SP it's just the better part of JKA for me.

The source code for the SP game module is not released and so making a code mod for SP is impossible.
