Hi everybody! :) is it possible to add an intro video to a map? if yes, how will I do it? i guess the format of the video should be roq. if you don't understand what I mean, play the map: hoth2. there is an intro video in that map.

Aye. You just need to use the SET_VIDEO_PLAY command right in the beginning of the initial script you launch when the map starts (usually handled by targeting the info_playerstart to a scriptrunner. It might also be a good idea to have an instant camera fade even before the video play command just in case. I have always had, at least, though that's just a precaution.

This is actually the same system you use when you want your own star wars logo and text crawl. It's very simple. Test it out or have a look at some original Raven script.

Does this work to an already existing map, like I have downloaded from filefront.com?

Judging from the process outlined, I'd say you can only do it in your own maps.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

What possible purpose could an edit like that even serve? If you go through the effort of creating a prerendered video, you would better invest that energy by making it for your own map, or offering to make one for some SP mapper building a worthy project. If you just make it for some old map, it won't likely ever leave your own HD, and that's kind of sad if it turns out to be good.
