hi all!

i have to build some fighters flying in the sky....to make them i did a func_train, and it work. problem is that when theyr path turn, for example 180 degrees, theyr brushes do not turn, resulting in a fighter going not "forward" but "backward" !

there is any way to make them turn at the path_corner ?

thanks !

I think that only works in SP- you should script those anyway

Func_trains don't turn.

Script it. Definitely. No question about it. This should get you started if you aren't already familiar with it: NAB622's Website

excuse me, i don't want to be boring, but i see in single player it works. it perfectly turns, and even yaw and roll!

are you sure there is no way to make just the same in multiplayer?

thanks !

I wasn't even aware that you could make them turn at all, SP or MP. o.0

Give it a shot, and if it works, it works. I still advise a script, though - it's much more flexible and takes up MANY fewer entities, which is always a plus. Not to mention func_trains do have a maximum of path_corners they can travel between, and some minor movement glitches.

Scripting isn't really hard once you know what you're doing...if func_trains don't work, don't be afraid to post back for help with a script!

Does nobody read my posts?

Anyway, here's a scripting tutorial:

i read them, and carefully :) thanks for the help....right now i'm trying a simpler way.... in fact i don't "have" to make this train, i "can" make it, so for now i decided for a simple train moving in 2 basic direction, and with an external hull plausible for forward and bakward movement. i don't exclude to learn script, if i do i will post again because i surely will need help!

thanks for the help guys! i really appreciate!
