Thanks Rux. Regarding the brightness of the colors, I DO see what you guys mean. I'll see what I could possibly do to make it a little more easy on the eyes, but there's one problem. The colors are bright to the point that they stand out where you can't NOT see them.

That's always been my problem with HUDs. If I couldn't see a piece of it, or if there was a time I couldn't notice it and I was too busy hacking up some random dude, I didn't pay attention. With bright color contrasts such as this, well. You've got to see it. It's meant to draw your eyes. That's what HUDs do. They draw your attention to them. Otherwise, how would they be useful? If they MUST be darkened, it won't take long. The sheer size of the thing would be fine enough, but I'm beginning to think that I need to include various versions in this thing. Also, Inyri. there's a way to make the background color "non-existant" in paint. If you go to the selection grid, the square one, and click on the lower icon, the background color will not travel with the object, making the object or any other color move without it. It's how I make everything look so good in Paint. Had I not discovered it, well... This wouldn't exist. Somehow, I'm willing to bet you already knew this technique. Well, maybe not technique, but handy button.

Some complain about it being too big. Some complain about it being too bright. I'll change that later, and maybe we could include two HUD versions in the file as seperate PK3s. Makes sense to me.

Yeah sounds like an idea to me, that would remove any ideas for improvement from people :p One version could be this one, and another less bright for those who want it. I could imply it at the same time as making the other tomorrow if you wish, Just a simple 'levels' layer ontop to make it a little darker, rather than you having to re-make it all, but it's up to you.

that's a retarded complaint then. the sizing is done in the .hud file and has nothing to do with the texture's resolution, so dont worry about it.

I'd very much like the HUD to stay the same size, though. Ruxith. MS paint is far more simply than you may believe. I don't have to re-make it, but simply darken it. I'm working on it, and it looks pretty decent. I'm gonna' make all the bars darker. But I think a small and large version is in order.

Photoshop/GIMP can do that in about 5 seconds and give you variable results with the drag of a slider.

And to boot, it can be tweaked later at-will. ;)

I've made the images ready, but i'm no good with the hud.menu file, in terms of the re-sizing and positioning on the screen, would anyone be able to help me with this? It'd need to be at the top of the screen, about 2/10's in from the left, and a size of 520x100 for the whole image, anyone help me?
