Real simple question, hopefully there's a simple answer. What tools are used for editing the menu system in Jedi Academy? In our mod we want to come up with all new menus based on the current menu system. However in my research I can't seem to find exactly what tools are used for this.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You use notepad and use it to edit the .menu files in the ui folder in assets1.pk3 in the base folder.

Thanks for the reply.

I figured a text editor (notepad) might be part of it, but wasn't sure. I assume any of the visual things are done in a image editor like Adobe CS or GIMP, right? Is there anything else?

How about animations like the JA level briefings and such?

You need notepad, an image editor, and for the animations, which I guess are the movies, you need a video editing program (like windows movie maker) and then a *.roq-converter (check master sticky)
