This is a SP only mod. But as for the grip and push or lightning combos it was available before but in this mod it will make it easier and smoother to do so.
FireDragon100;4608499Currently I'm using the "Schröd+Unsung-Starkiller"...
You do realize we didn't let you use V1 in your mod? So unless you're speaking of V2 which isn't done yet then you can't include our work.
Seems very nice, I might be able to help with mapping if you need any, need to take a look to see what those maps you need look like again.
To Shrod: Dont Be such a bitch man. if you read his first post he said nothing will be released unless he gets everyones permission. And no dont start anything off of this... im too lazy to beef.
It's related to my work so I'm totally allowed to post that, if you can't help then simply shut up and stop starting flame wars.
tdawg2099I didnt say "Dont post that" I said "Dont be a bitch" He didnt even release your shit yet and you're bombing on his ass. Just tell him in a nicer way or something. And to the guy above me there wont be a tfu for pc.
How on Earth was what Schrödinger posted not nice?
That was the epitome of niceness. He could've easily ripped into the guy for incorporating his work into a mod project despite being denied permissions (at which point the work should have been removed entirely, to be honest, rather than saying "We'll just keep using it!"), but no, he didn't, he just stated that permissions had not been gained and thus using the model would classify as theft and plagiarism.
An author is fully within their rights to request that their work is removed from a project, released or not. This also extends as far as using someone else's resources to advertise your project - that's why we always insisted that when sending file screenshots to JKFiles, the only custom content in the screenshot should be content that's included in the mod itself.
Schrödinger was speaking fully within his rights, and he did so in the most polite way possible. Just because someone disagrees with you, doesn't mean they're wrong, or acting out of line.
Occasionally it means they're stupid, or a twat, but that depends entirely on what they're disagreeing with tbh. Try disagreeing with someone who says "Racism is bad!" and see what happens - no, really, dare ya!
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
lol, you're gonna remake a new game, that's already multi-platform, with a pc release on the way, on an older engine, which will still play exactly the same as JKA, and won't have any of the cool stuff you can get in TFU...
lol just fork out £40 on a new game, for the first time in like... since jka was released pl0x.
I didnt say "Dont post that" I said "Dont be a bitch" He didnt even release your shit yet and you're bombing on his ass. Just tell him in a nicer way or something. And to the guy above me there wont be a tfu for pc.
Lucas Arts never had made the best games around, in fact, I do know that Kotor1&2 were based off another engine, and JKO and JKA were based off the Q3 engine, and DF 1&2 are too old to count:p
Point is, Lucas Arts needs to get some better coders and game play artists!
That being said, from what I've seen, apart from a good physics engine, JKA should be fairly capable of copying TFU.
About copyright issues, I know it is aggravating seeing your work in someone else's unreleased mod without permission, just be sure to let the person know not to release your work in their mod, and leave it at that. If tries to release it, you can easily use your admin power to be sure it doesn't get released. I know, I sound stupid, but I don't want to see this thread turn into a fight about it.
While I'm not all head over heels in love with TFU, I still think there are some things that could be translated over to JA with a little jiggery-pokery. Like the increased knockback (which unfortunately affects everything that has knockback). Also, if you're gonna go through with making the mod, you'll need these:
