This is, first of all, assuming the jetpack can be edited. Seems like it can, as I've looked at the file myself.

Anyway, I know this an odd request, but I'm surprised it hasn't been done already. Is there a way to make the jetpack invisible? That sounds weird, but wouldn't it be lovely to use a jetpack on a model that already has one, (like Jango) without having the big ugly Boba Fett jetpack overtop of it? Even if the fire from the jetpack would be out of place, it'd still please me. I don't know the first thing about 3D modeling, or I'd attempt to do it myself. But would it or would it not be possible to make it either transparent/invisible, or so tiny you can't really tell it's on you. As many problems as that'd create (not being able to tell if it's on or not without hitting it) I'd be eternally grateful.

So, is there anyone who would kindly do this for me? I'd say I'll make it up to you, but I really can't.

I can work on the model if you can find someone to map and texture it.. As far as anything beyond modeling, that's about where my knowledge stops. Post some pictures of what you want and I'll see what I can do.

I meant to ask (totally forgot lol) if he wanted something totally invisible or something a whole lot smaller. =/ My mistake.

Just make the .skin file lead to nothing?

Indeed, that should work

no, it would lead the model terxtureless, and make it pure white. ud need a .GLM importer and delete most of the objects if not all, but keep the tags. Or you can make the thing tranceparent?

Or, you could make .skin file to lead to some invisible shader, or make a new shader

A transparency shader applied to the textures used on the jetpack is all you need.

replace the texture paths (such as models/weapons2/jetpack/jetpack.jpg, or something like that.) With *off, which will surf that part of the model off, thus making it invisible. If you used a shader, the jetpack would still show up when you used self-affecting force powers, such as protect, speed, absorb, etc.
