EDIT: Thanks

Hey, I am making a mod. First time in my live I've created my own animation. It works fine but the animation went to the all characters, not only to that one Ive choosen. I heard about changing the line in file "_humanoid.gla" and "model.glm" from "models/players/_humanoid/_humanoid.gla" to "models/players/_humanoid_NAME/_humanoid.gla".

I opened "_humanoid.gla" and "model.glm" by the notepad, edited it and saved. I thought everything had gone fine but now while I am trying to get starkiller's model (ive made the animation for this guy) I see strange text in console...

Yeah, that's why you don't do hex editing with Notepad. Get a hex editor.

But the basic process is correct. Just remember to rename the actual _humanoid folder as well.

Hmmm. Now this text DOES NOT appear in the console I thought everything will work fine but...that was my bad. The LightSaber (blade&hilt) isn't visible when I am the guy with my animations. Saber is visible only when I throw it (+altattack). Every character can have the saber, only "my guy" doesn't.

Is the model you're working with HellKobra's Starkiller? That model has rigging/compiling issues and that's why the saber doesn't show in SP. As far as I know, nothing short of re-rigging the model can fix it.

EDIT: Thanks.

I have been using Rikken's StarKiller skin.

@EDIT: changed starkiller model into unsung's... same effect... @EDIT2: I think I did something incorrectly..animations or... I don't know what...I am gonna write here later that what I do...

1. I open dragon and create an animation. 2. I've made 40 frames. Frame # "0" presents "model_root" (anyway something like ... you know... guy who looks like X letter (in approximately). 3. I save the file through command "savegla anims". 4. Then I copy anims.gla and anims.cfg (that what's inside DEFAULT "number 1" "number 2" "number 3" "number 4". 5. I copy "_humanoid.gla" (from assets.pk3/models/players/_humanoid) to the glamerge folder. After that I run glamerge.bat

Contents of "glamerge.bat" @ECHO OFF "glamerge.exe" "_humanoid.gla" "anims.gla" -o PAUSE EXIT

I run glamerge.bat, I type name for my .gla file (I write _JAhumanoid.gla), copy it to the MyMod.pk3/models/players/_humanoid_NAME/. 6. I edit "animations.cfg" file. 7. I open MyMod.pk3/models/players/secret_apprentice/model.glm via HHD Hex Editor Neo. I select "Insert mode" and append "_NAME". 8. I open MyMod.pk3/models/players/_humanoid_NAME/_humanoid.gla via HHD Hex Editor Neo and append "_NAME". 9. I save both files. 10. I run the game. 11. I open console and type command "playermodel galen". Then I get invisible character (thats bug with the models: I fixed it) (if I appended "_NAME") with invisible hilt and if I try to turn on saber the game crashes (0xsomething links to the 0xsomething2. Memory cannot be "read"). If I just change one letter in line with _humanoid in humanoid.gla or model.glm I can see character but the saber isn't visible (I would like to point that character holds the lightsaber like in my stance) and if I try to hit any NPC using this lightsaber jk3 throw me back to the menu with error Text of the error message:

I responded to your PM. First get your animation in game without it being model specific. That way you can test to see if it doesn't work with that model or every model.

Once that's done go through the steps to make it model specific.
