hey all!!! Ive seen very nice skins from JO and i would like to use them in JA. Do i have to take out the animation files from the JO and put inside JA animations? or is it harder? Thanks

You can just drop the pk3s in JKA's base folder. If you want them to use the JKA skeleton, you'll have to rerig them.

Just make sure that if any JK2 skins have the humanoid folder inside their pk3, that you delete it, otherwise it'll overwrite JKA's skeleton with JK2's. And you don't want that to happen.

the only problem with using jk2 models instead of jka ones are a few animation glitches, the most glaring one is when you do the dual saber kata, only one saber flys around you

In a certain sense of the word, I suppose it could be considered porting.

However, JK2 models/skins work in Jedi Academy by default and don't have to be "ported", so I guess for the sake of personal use, it could be tolerated, provided the files are not redistributed in any way shape or form, and that the parties involved don't try to claim credit for making the file (unless they did make the file in the first place, that is).
