Hi everyone! I had an idea of making these Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo models from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children;) but I'm a mapper and I really don't know how to make models:rolleyes: so if someone would try to make one of these models, it will be very nice for all the FF7 fan's on this forum! ( For Kadaj's bikes, there's no problem cause in the Midgar v3 map there are these vehicles:))

I'm gonna do it myself!!!=p I just need to know how much 3dStudioMax costs and what is the latest version. And I need a lot of time. (It will be my first model!!):D

3ds Max 9 costs quite a bit and it can't export into .xsi as of now. XSI Mod Tool, on the other hand, costs nothing and as an added bonus, it exports into .xsi perfectly. I suggest you google for some tutorials. Some good ones are Gir's and Ben Mathis', as well as the Joan of Arc tutorial on 3d Total.

By the way, keep it up. The "I'll do it myself!" attitude is what we like to see around here.

my max9 exports to .xsi just fine... as for doing it yourself, cudos. post some work in progress and i'll help all i can.

it exports everything, i don't have any issues with my exporter. worst case scenario though, you could always export everything in like... .fbx or something, and then re-export from xsi?

The problem is that...heeuuu.. I diden't knew that 3DStudioMax costs 5000$. So how does everybody have this programme? And is there any good other programme? cause I really wanna work on this one!!!:D

you can google "Gmax" if you want to learn to model with a max based program. or you can use the XSI mod tools, which are also free. Minilogoguy is the resident expert of XSI though, i don't have much experiance with the program. he also has the model of Kadaj i was working on a while back (search for it if you like).
