I know, I know, it's a tall order and I realize not long ago I got mad about making requests, :uhm: (and I apologize for that) , but I would like to make a request for six hilts that Khaliban didn't have in his pack that he submitted to JKFiles two years ago, if anyone would like to tackle them. I think they look pretty unique. Again, I apologize for everything. I want to thank anyone in advance for their feedback on this request, whether anyone would like to tackle it or not. If no one does, I will completely understand. Here are the ref pics for the hilts (just the links, not the actual pics) :
Kreia's "Walking Stick" (must also belong to her sith name as well, Darth Traya) - Knights of the Old Republic 2 Files - Screenshots for File: Ultimate Saber Mod
And finally, Visas Marr's "Hope Of Katarr" - Knights of the Old Republic 2 Files - Screenshots for File: Ultimate Saber Mod

Well, I think you would need the permission of the maker of those sabers first, because after all it is a mod, and not "Restored content," or anything like that. Apart from that your idea is great.
Thanks, jak!! I will definitely try to contact the authors of the originals and post their response once I contact them.

Also that would be porting as far as I know, you'd be taking it from one game to the other. If you want someone to model them from scratch, much better idea.
Why? Cause normal is boring.

Actually the models themselves belong to the author, so if he/she gives permission to port them over to JA, it's alright.

Oh okay, thanks for correcting me on that Jose. :D
Well, actually my request was for the models from scratch, so as to not be a legal issue due to porting. Should I still contact the authors of the original models for permission to re-create them, should anyone here take up the request as a from-scratch deal? Feedback, please!

Since the models are third-party, pending permission from the authors there should be no issues regarding porting unless they say no.
The issues only come up when you don't get permission from the authors - who technically classify as the owners - of the content, or when you port first- or second-party resources.
And, of course, when you fail to properly identify and explicitly credit the creators of third-party resources you've ported, even if you have permission.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I think it'd be fun! But I don't know how to re-code MDLs for XSI-6. Sorry, because I really do want to do this!
Okay, I just sent a PM to the three existing members of the team that made the originals, that are registered at LucasForums. I'll let you guys know what they said as soon as I get a message back from them.
