Hi guys! I started modding in JA game. And i think the quake 3 engine is very good for making mods or even games. Not many time ago i uploaded an Eric Draven skin (the crow). And now i made a map. But, i need help. The textures in the map are glitching. And i need to fix them. Here are the pics of lag O_o

Spoiler: Show

And if somebody can, please fix it

Uhh... I can't tell you how you might fix them, other than making sure there are no duplicates stacked on top of eachother, taking up the same exact space in the same exact shape (E.G. you accidentally press the clone bar & move the brush into the place the old one was, then deselect it). I can tell you, however, that lagging isn't the best word for your problem; glitching may be a better word to use.

Dynamic glow on, even if you're not looking at any dynamic glowing textures, will lower your FPS (note - FPS dropping and lag are two different things).

But, judging by the poor but not hideous anti aliasing effects, you look like you have a decent video card. Well, at least somewhat like mine.

Want a better FPS? Try these things:

/cg_shadows 3 - will turn shadows realistic and jet black, will save FPS huge time but wont bend. /r_dynamicglow 0 - will turn off dynamic glow. I recommend using this.

If they don't work, it's most likely mapping issues, too many brushes/things going on at once that you can't see. Try following some basic tutorials if this is the issue, like Richdiesals. They will really help you be the best and most efficient mapper you can be.

By actually paying attention to the original post and applying some basic human intelligence, I think he just mis-used the word "lag", and his problem is actually with some of the faces not rendering. Al I can really suggest here is to delete this brushes and try again, see of that fixes the problem.

You're suggesting framerate? That's what I was talking about.

No, he's not. Try reading the original post and replace 'lag' with 'glitch'

No I'm not, that's why I made no mention of frame rates whatsoever...
