Hey, having problems with lighting. Well, I put six lights into an area of a map, three 1000 intesities, three 200s. Well, I compile it with light in 1.4 (cause 1.5 gets an error while compiling anything, it stops after FaceBSP and just stops, doesnt make a bsp or anything) ingame, the level is not lit at all (default fullbright lighting) and the player model is the only thing that actually has lighting. The area is fully textured. Now the weirdness starts. When I do the final compile, everything except shaders with no light map turns up effin pitch solid black! What the hell is going on here?! I tried 1.5 RC1 too, it has the same error as the other 1.5...

i hope this isnt true but it dounds like the black death of lighting. I think basically either jk3 or q3map2 runs out of resources to correctly calculate/display the lighting/lightmaps so instead you get wierd effects. Try using a higher _lightmapscale in your worldspawn, that seems to be the only real solution. Cutting down on faked normalmaps and shader lighting also helps.

I have...no lighting shaders, no faked normalmaps...wtf? Ill try that though...though for some reason I doubt that will work...probably cause nothing else has.
