Hello..

i have a problem with my hilt. well i started to build a hilt with a christal in it, this christal is visible and should have the same color like the color of the blade. Means-> if u choose a red blade, the christal should become red ,too same for blue etc.. can i do that with a .skin file ore .shader?? i have no idea how i can create it.. any suggestions?

thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure the crystal in Ashura's saber uses a second, tiny blade inside the translucent crystal.

Well the .sab file has got nothin to do with skinning. the .sab file is (responsible) for the preferences "in game" like saberlenght, damagescale etc... I know the saber of Ashura but he hadnt fixed that problem! The crystal has still one color! The prob is not to make transparent meshes/elements per material editor, the prob is still: how to bind the bladecolor with textues of the hilt. i dunno if this is possible.

yeah man it dont work like that. but im right about the small blade thing. just make u a really small blade and stick it where u want your "crystal" (hehe) and make it the same color as your main blade.. so yes dude, the .sab file will work. dont back talk chalk XD

Howabout just have various saber hilts that have the exposed crystals color?

Like, the player wants to use a blue blade, but the saber he chose has a green crystal. Then, to fix this, he chooses the lightsaber with the green crystal.

Because that's a giant waste of saber slots, not to mention it adds more resources to the PK3 than are necessary. The solution previously described is far more efficient.
