Ok, i like to make mini recoloring mods, but its hard to find some of the effect files. One im looking for is the grip color, im tired of seeing it red, anyone know where that is located? somewhere in assets 1? And also where do i find the drain effect file?

Look for the folder called "effects" in assets1.pk3

Heh, can you tell me which file its called? For all I know they could have been using lightning as their grip effect, i dont know, they are all named oddly.

To be honest I do not remember what those files are called exactly, but you should not have much problem if you look for them in the effects/force directory, keep in mind that not every force effect is in that directory.

Yeah iv been looking for that file for months, (not everyday) and lately Iv been really needing it to finish my minimod. If I didnt have a problem finding those two files then I wouldnt be here. Is there no one at all in this entire forum that knows where the drain and grip effect files are located in the assets1 (IF they really exist)? Even on JK3files, out of all the recolors of force, I cant find any force grip or drain that are recolored. Help would be REALLY nice cause people keep bugging me to finish this mod. Thx.

It's been awhile... but I think the Lightning texture can be found in assets, but if I remember correctly, I think the color for grip and drain are hard coded in the client DLL.

LOL sorry, first of all the actual texture ie what you want to recolor is in the gfx/ folder in assets1.pk3 but I can't seem to find it *sigh* but if it can be recolored, that's where you'd find it. As for the drain effect it's in assets1.pk3/effects/mp/drain.efx Hope I helped..
