Hi everyone, I am looking for a modder or 2 to help me create a hilt, I have tried and tried and it has officially been dubbed impossible to my skill level. If anyone thinks they can pick up this task and give it a whirl please let me know! Here are the two sabers Im trying to make. Archaic Lightsaber http://img86.imageshack.us/my.php?image=archaiclightsabereditedsd2.jpg This saber I would like to make, minus the cable, JUST the hilt, I love the old republic style design. Lightsaber Broadsword http://img353.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lightsaberbroadswordng9.jpg This one as well, I just like the old look to it...from a simpler time. This saber hilt would have to support TWO BLADES coming out from the top center though if it is made. If anyone can help please let me know!!! THANKS!

Ok so I can't mod the hilts for you, but I'd like to point out how easy the broadsword will be. Just make the hilt a little bit wider, and put two of those tags in that mark where blades come from next to each other. Then, when you put everything in a final ".pk3", include this ".sab" file. (The attachment feature wasn't working on this website, so here's a link) http://www.easy-share.com/584178.html As long as you change the line inside my file from "saber_broadsword" to the path that you made, it should work. I made it so that there are two blades coming from it, both a little thinner than standard blades, and the hilt is one handed. Besides the two blades, it should act like any other one handed hilt.

I'm learning how to model but those look still annoying to me... They are more like sword hilts than saberhilts...

The second I think I can pull of but the black part is just skinning and skinning that is not my best point yet lol... Also problem is I don't know the top side...

The other is not visible enough to make a proper model since you don't see what's behind the hand...

Yeah the other image is hidden behind the hand but you could always wing it :D. Under the image is the same design pattern/scheme as rest of hilt wrap.

The top view of the broadsword is just plain. I don't have one atm sorry! Pretty much, picture the top view, the surface is flat, and the spot where the two blade come out is just like a small indention of sorts. ( ) a center like that, same main "gold" color to the hilt in this indention, and it only goes in a few inches. Does this help at all?

If I make it than it will just be the hilt... I don't have tried adding two sabers yet... Although I know I can duplicate the tag to get a second if I mess with it... But the actual question is you said it's flat... But is that one thing on it rounded or just a small boxstyle...

In other words Katana like (AROUND the entire sword) or Sword Like (Boxy part where the sword is on but not as round)

Why? Cause normal is boring.

I suggest you make a single, wider blade instead of two blades. If you make it with two blades, you don't get the fast/medium/strong styles, you're stuck in one.

Not true, if you shut off the saber, then hit the style change button, it will change succesfully. Then turn it back on, tada.:D:D

Okay, since I don't have a top view I tried my best to draw it out. Here is the pic, the rest i will try to explain the best i can. http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=untitled22222222rc3.jpg This is the top view of the saber, the center is a stretched out oval, not too round, not too oval, not too fat, not too skinny. In the center of that oval is another oval, indented just a little bit. Inside this oval indentation is where the outlets for the two saber blades are housed, this is where they ignite from. The two lines on the end of the top part are the cut off points as viewed from above; from there, the two triangular parts then curve downward as originally seen in the first pic i posted. I want the hand guard part to be the shape of the oval though, in a sense I want the hand guard big enough to hold the oval in the center. The hand guard will be the shape of the oval below it, and it will taper off of the sides evenly. Look at the pic above, picture that, but with the guard part even with the oval all the way across both sides. Then the triangular part like I said will then slope downwards AFTER the cut-off point. Ok, next part. http://img133.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lightsaberbroadswordedited1pj6.jpg In this part, the section circled in red will be explained. As in the above view pic, I want this part to be same size, same shape as the center of the top view hilt. NOT The center where the blades come from, the larger oval around that. Towards the end part this circled section (as in right before the shaft part you hold), this will taper off and then essentially become the shaft. Now onto the part about the size of the shaft, etc.. http://img154.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lightsaberbroadswordshaftdf0.jpg I circled the shaft in the picture above. Basically, I want the oval part above the shaft to be no wider than the shaft in one direction, just extended in the other direction. The picture below is a bottom view to give you some idea of the size relationships. The red circle is the shaft, the blue oval is the part right above it, and the green part is the hand guard. The oval should be no bigger than the circle. http://img221.imageshack.us/my.php?image=untitled333333333333lw6.jpg Well, I tried my best to explain it the way I want it.. Sorry it's so detailed, just wanted to make sure you're seeing what I'm seeing. Thanks a lot to everyone who's given me input so far, and I hope you can all stick around till I get this thing figured out.
