I didn't make it!

Well this is my second topic in this forum, my name is Kiyoshi for those of you who don't know who I am. My clanmate and I have been working on reskinning a sword as of late, and we did the .jpg's, but no one in the clan knows how to get the sword so it will not replace the old, and how to make it it's own file. If possible I'd like to find someone who knows how to reskin swords and has done it correctly before. If you can help me post here to let me know, and possibly contact me over msn or aim. Leave your contact info in the post so I can get a hold of you. I'm on msn just about everyday off and on from 3-10 EST p.m., on weekends a bit longer. So please let me know if you can help, thanks.

Also I'm not asking for them to reskin the sword completely, I have the .jpgs I can send, I just need technical help :D.

First off, edit your posts instead of posting within less than 30 minutes. Next, if you want someone to contact over an IM service, you'll want to give out your contact details. To make it so that it doesn't overwrite an existing saber, just change the model folder name to saber_(name here) and then go into the skin file and make it so it looks into your new model folder instead. So if I reskinned the katarn hilt, I'd change the model folder to saber_greenstinkything and in the skin file, I'd change whatever I saw as saber_katarn to saber_greenstinkything. Then you make a .sab file for it. Just find one from the assests folder and make it work for yours. I'm sure there's a tutorial in the sticky for making one. Just make sure that you include the following line: "customskin [your skin here]" or your skin won't work. For instance, I'd put: "customskin greenstinkything.skin".

Well I told them to leave their contact info, yes I forgot mine but I could've gotten around it by contacting them. And I'll use your post for my friend because i'm computer stupid when it comes to those types of things. No way am I able to do that kind of stuff but thank you for your help, I'm sure my friend can use this info. And last time I tried I couldn't find the flippin edit button, so I had to reply, I could've sworn you couldn't edit the posts before but I guess you can only edit the new ones you make, I dunno.

You can Edit any post you've made which is less than 30 minutes old. After 30 minutes, it becomes permanent.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Well, unless I decide that your post is a disgrace to GF and humanity in general, in which case I can make it disappear.

Oh, and thank Inyri for everything about the custom skin with the .sab file. She's the one who mentioned it to me yesterday. Otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it and your skin would've not turned up on your saber.
