I'm looking for a way to automatically load a mod on startup of the game - even if I could just load the mod from the console with /fs_game, I might be able to do it....

I tried /fs_game - write protected.

/fs_basegame - write protected.

Is there a way I can get around the write protection, or another way to load a mod at startup (short of replacing base assets...)?

I believe redsaurus is working on a Mac auto-loader, and surely someone else has an answer. I'll point him to this thread anyway

The default way is to go into Setup -> Mods when your game has loaded, and select the mod from there. Make sure the mod has a description.txt, or it won't show in that menu.

Further information: fs_game controls the folder to load assets from. The game will always load assets from base, and then load assets from whatever fs_game is set to on-top of those.

Yeah, I know - I'm just getting really sick and tired of having to load JA twice every time I want to play MBII. Well, thanks for the help, hopefully redsaurus finishes that soon.
