Anyone know of any modding tools for Mac OSX? Is there a way to use the files that are posted on Filefront with JK3 for Mac OSX? Thanks.
www.redsaurus.net/gtkradiant for mac mapping, and I've been trying to get Wudan to make a mac version of an animation tool. Other than that, you can do skinning and modelling, but can't compile on a mac. DON'T bother with JK3files for tools, just talk to the resident mac user, me!
There is a Pakscape version for MAC.Its called PakRat
Cool. Thanks, guys.
nearly all the files (files, not tools) on jk3 files will work. pk3's and such. if it's an exe it wont, though. total conversion mods don't always work, though.
heres a suggestion, throw your mac off of a really high building then buy a PC. because face it, everything runs on windows.
Yeah, but how well does everything run on Windows? My desktop is a PC and my laptop is a Mac. Both have advantages and disadvantages. The Unix kernel is very stable on a Mac (no crashes), the UI is gorgeous and there are absolutely no viruses or spyware (that alone is worth it). On the other hand, there are many, many more applications and games available for Windows, all of which are easy to use and well designed. It all depends on your point of view, I guess. I use each for their strengths and not their weaknesses.
Thanks again for all of your suggestions, guys! l8r
Oh yeah, forgot about pakrat. I take it you know how to make pk3s on a mac, no?
