I'm making some text tutorials so that when people ask I don't have to keep typing them up from scratch >.< Any suggestions/requests? I'm not a modeller or a mapper, so no tuts on those. There are enough of those around anyway, though. So far: Making a single-player species (with or without variants) Making new player soundsets How to Use ModView In the Works: General Skinning Animation Replacement // Stance Replacement (as seen in the Movie Stances mod)

Niiiice, lets just hope people do read this topic before asking something.

It will be really useful for most skinners if you also make a tutorial on how to add sounds. Alpha channels tutorial will be nice too (and useful for creating new species) I kinda have my doubts if people even know what alpha channels are. Shaders that are used frequently will be useful too, for example a metallic shader or a cloaking shader.

If I think of something else I will post in here. Anyway, good luck on that.

Well you gotta pick things I know about ;) Shaders aren't my thing, and alpha channels I'm not really an expert on. I've got a sound one done, although I make another version of it for non-player sounds just in case, and music... but I'll have to think about that one.

Feel free. I'd love to just slap a link at people rather than have to continually explain things, as I'm sure you would ;)

That'd be neato. Not that I could do it... but it would still be neato. You might actually have some competition then.

Anyway, since I'm lazy and don't want to write anymore right now I'm going to release what I've written. Once I get a good set going I'll get it up on the tutorials thread. This includes the following: -How to use ModView -How to make a new Single-Player species with No Variants -How to make a new Single-Player species with Variants -How to make a new player model soundset
