alright so once more in my map making quest, i've it a tiny snag, how does one go about making a teleporter, i've made one, but err it blew my character into the abyss, and that was that. i need some help on this since stairs in some of my newer maps won;t make sense.

Make a brush where you want the person to teleport from and cover it in trigger texture. Highlight it, right click and make it a trigger_teleport. Highlight the brush, hit n to bring up the entity window and add key target; value teleport1 (or whatever you want to call it). Deselect everything, right click and make a target_teleporter entity. Place it where you want the person to teleport to. Highlight the entity, hit n to bring up the entity window and add key targetname: value teleport1. HTH

Just make the brush you wish to teleport the player, make it a trigger_teleport, make an info_notnull where you want the player to come out of, and connect the two with control k, or the menu option "connect" in "entites" menu. This won't work well if you have a bunch of entites, so if you do, type the target names in manually.

Sorry, I assumed 1.5 would have target_teleporter. lol It should work like Isla said, just make info_notnull and connect it to the trigger either manually or select trigger, then info_notnull and press control k.

I've actually had a problem with the ctrl k method...it doesn't do anything, doesn't even put the connecting line, or input the command into the bottom lines. If you have the same problem, put 1.4 on your computer, and do it like that. Only way I've found to fix teh problemz. OHHH YEssssSSS!!! 1.4......yay....uhh, yeah.:lookaround: PS, actually, 1.5 does have the target_teleporter, but I've never heard of it being used...evar.

Did you try the info_notnull and target the trigger to the info_notnull?

You could also try target_location maybe?

Actually there isn't, it's just some documentation and it doesn't say how to make a teleporter.
