ok im trying it now.... ok it still doesn't work, might it be a problem w/ the arena file? if it is (it probably is), here is what i put for it: { map "ffa_Dual" longname "Dual" type "duel" } P.S: it's a duel map called Dual any help?

Also if you decide not to put them into a pk3 yet, and keep all your map material in there folders (ie maps in base/maps textures in base/textures .arena in base/scripts) you must enter sv_pure 0 before you load your map if you'd like to play it when its not a pk3. Im assuming your not doing that, but its helpfull to know. That command may save you alot of time in the future when something isn't loading.

ok, well my problem is that my map IS a pk3, and i put everything where it's supposed to be, but It still won't work....

ok, I did all of that, and my map is in a pk3, it still doesn't show up, so theres no way for me to try it out (or release it) until it works. Any help

Wow for some reason, my post got stuck all the way up there, but when I made it.... I had read all the posts above me, including the ones about prt and srf. How very odd...

ok so I finished a duel map I was making, and I followed all of the instructions I was given on how to do that, but my map doesn't show up on the multiplayer screen. Any help?

First, compile your map into a *.bsp: General Concepts 102: Lesson 2 - Compiling Then, make a *.pk3 -file containing the map (*.bsp)-file and an *.arena -file. (to make it show up on the multiplayer screen): General Concepts 102: Lesson 7 - MP Mapping / Basic Level Distribution

ok, so where do "yourmap".prt and "yourmap".srf go?

They don't go anywhere - let them stay where they are. They are rest-files, or however to call em, from gtkradiant.
