How do you edit a map in gtk radiant or does it require another program ? Mapping beginner
You don't need any other program to make maps for Jedi Academy/Jedi Outcast other than GtK Radiant. I suggest you download the 1.4.0 version, it can be found here: http://eliteforce2.filefront.com/file/GTKRadiant;26097

he wants to edit ingame maps If I understood him right for that you'll have to find a BSP to .MAP converter without that you cant edit ingame maps and I'm pretty sure it'S not really legal to edit ingame maps :( EXEPT the ones Raven released withit'ssourcefiles you can edit those

strange anyway I dont know about a BSP to map converter but I'm pretty sure there is one just google for that I'll keep my hands from that about the GTK crashes... dunno did you export your map to bsp ?
no I did something called import, I believe I imported the map and later gtkradiant froze. and i think i also tried that again by changing the file extension from bsp to map.
Changing the extension doesn't actually change the data.
'Decompiling' a map from .BSP to .MAP is done by tweaking a few options in the command line using q3map2.exe Sorry I can't give much more information, but I'm too lazy to type. Google around for more information on the q3map2.exe stuff, and make sure you have permission to do everything you're doing.
