Wait so, is that the program I need to convert a .bsp to a .map, q3map2.exe ? Also um.., is it possible if anyone could give me a link to download this program q3map2.exe ? So far I've had no luck in finding a download, does jedi knightfiles have a download of this program because I found a download there called q3map2 graphical user interphase, is that the program ?

q3map2.exe comes with GTK Radiant (Common mapping program) You can find it in the 'Program Files\GTK Radiant 1.x.x\' directory (Assuming you use Windows, and depending on the version of Radiant you have)

Copy the .BSP file to that directory (So it should sit next to q3map2.exe) and create a .txt file The .txt file should containt this: q3map2.exe -game ja -convert -format map BSPNAME.bsp (Thanks Loda) Rename the .txt file to a .bat file and double-click!

In a short while, it should spew out a file called BSPNAME_converted.map which you can open up in Radiant

Mind you, something goes horribly wrong with the textures when you 'decompile' a BSP, and also some brushwork can be ruined. But hey, at-least you get the map mostly in-tact (And works well for a recovery of a lost .map file ;))
