usually i use mp3's in my maps, now the question is simple can i use a wav file for the maps music? eg: key: Music value: music/ge_watercaverns/water.wav will this work? also my waves are at the 44khz stereo type, and i know for most JA instances for sounds they're prefered 22khz mono, so would this work for a JA map? its to loop the music seemlessly my alternate way of making seemless looping music is: (from unreleased castlevania symphony of the night stage) key: music value: music/keep/prologue.mp3 music/keep/prologue2.mp3 the music was cut edited, so the song intro is the first file while the trimmed seemless loop part is the second file, only problem with this method there is a half second to one whole second of pause time when the song reloads

Umm... why don't you convert the wav to mp3? It's much more smaller, and u can be sure, that it will work. And why don't you cut out the 'pause' from the music?

I place all my custom music files I wanna use IG in a 'Music' folder in my base, then all I have to do is: /music music/ and it will load and play it IG.

Well, when I was programming a menu the "music" command didn't get the music to play, but the "play" command worked fine. Also, there is a mp3 converter named Audio Alchemy, and the trial version has no limitations, I think. Why don't you give it a shot? I don't know about many free converters.

Check out audacity, that one's good. And play might work for menus but music is definitely the correct keyword for adding music to maps.

You can get audacity here:

Audacity: Windows

If you get it you should also get the lame mp3 exporter (can be found at the same link) since it's only a matter of time before you'll want to export something as an mp3.
