So I decided to make a new map I don't have a name yet but it's kind of a city of former times...some screens are attached...I just have one question: does somebody know what it meens when the map doesn't compile with the error message: ************ ERROR ************ safe_malloc failed on allocation of 180879360 bytes

Name Suggestion: Why don't you take a name of an old Greek City? It does remind me alot of Greece, like maybe Sparta or Athens. Or somehow combine the names of different Greece names to create a unique name.
Map, looks great. With some better lighting, i rekon this would be a pretty damn good map.
Hey, nice map. It's got a different feel than most maps. If you're going for the Greek look, it needs a LOT more white, lol. Oh, and some statues and scrolling on the pillars would add to that effect. Otherwise, it really doesn't look all that Greek to me--more like a combination of different architecture with a little Greek, Chinese, Native American(it's the reed roofs and Iroquois long house look), and some Goa'uld.

Totally. Good idea. But please, if you put in a stargate, make it easy to use, and make it go somewhere. :D
So now I'm pretty frustrated with this thing I reduced the brush count about aproximently 2500 brushes and it still won't let me compile....meanwhile I made a duel map out of it where only the grassy area is playable and made the houses on the outside lower poly and reduced map size in general and then it let me compile so I'll probably reduce the map size and brush count on the big map as well and then I'll see what happens....what about the lighting? How should I improve it? make the shaddows a bit lighter? or darker? or should I add some lights or something? It's pretty late here so I'll post new screens later on, probably tomorrow at about midday or in the evening
So I'm sorry this took so long but now after reducing the brush and especially the patches count it finally compiled...just a few numbers...when i had this error I almost had 10000 brushes...now I'm at about 6000 or maybe even less I'm not sure so here some screens of the map:
It is looking really great. You will get a download out of me when you send it in. (I am a pretty stickly downloader, so that is a great map)
