Hey guys,

It's me again. I've just spent the last 3 hours making my first ever (test) map. I was wondering how do I save/covert it from a Map to Bsp?

Please respond quickly so I can check my map out.

Thanks in advance,

Jebus

I added the .map to WinZip, now how do I convert it to .pk3?/bsp?

Okay, to get a .Map into a BSP in Radiant 1.5.0 click Build instead of BSP. Then save the BSP to you're Maps folder in base and devmap it in game. PK3's are not needed when testing but when you need to learn how to get a .PK3 file gimme' a yell.

BTW map files can't have space's in there name!

So far we have 2 things in common - Were both aussies and we both are new to mapping! Well, I am.

(I'm new t mapping too)

When I click Build, it comes up with a variety of selections, but each one I choose, it comes up with a box with Command Prompt and the writing that is in it is this:

C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\Base\maps >"C:/Program Files/GtkRadiant 1.5.0/q3map2.exe" -v -game ja -fs_basepath "C:/Pro gram Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/" -fs_game base -meta "C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/B ase/maps/new.map" 1>"C:/Documents and Settings/Foster/Application Data/RadiantS ettings/1.5.0/junk.txt"

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jebus

Thats what it is sopposed to come up with. Leave it for a few minutes then come back and it should be gone. That was the "MAP to BSP converter" thingymajig. Make sure you have GameData/Base/Maps/Your_map_name.BSP in there.
