well, i recently started getting fully into maping and am working on my first map.

i have been searching google and these forums for a while and got nothing.

how would someone go about making a wall, that a player could just.. walk right through? i have seen this in other maps so i know it is possable.

if you don't understand what i am trying to say here, perhaps i should refere to jedi's home JL II, under the lift to go up to the council room, there's a ''fake wall'' that you can go through yes? that is what i mean

Thats pretty easy to do: first make te wall that you want, and give the whole thing a system/caulk_nonsolid texture, then texture the visible side with whatever texture you want (ctrl+shift+click in 3d view to select one side)

wala

Is there a way to make a wall like this which you can only pass through one way? (ie, from the caulk textured side)

you could do a door that only opens if you press a switch that is on one side

Or a silent door that only opens when approached from one side. :)

And Redeem, your signature is too big. Please keep it within 800x160 pixels.
