Hey again, Im mapping using GtkRadiant for Jk3 its going ok, but i cant get the sky to work, it says in the richDiesal tutorial thats when you apply the sky to a surface it will come out in black and blue boxes, however mine only comes out in repeated patterns of the sky on the brush, help anyone? - Def
Try using a texture with sky on it instead, then you'll get a good sky.
thats the thing, i choose a sky texture but then it doesnt stretch across, i just see lots of tiles of it
Are you sure it's a small little texture with sky written on it? If it is, then it's no problem if it doesn't fit, because it'll be ok in game.
no, when i pull up sky textures they're pictures of the sky rather than the little boxes with sky written in them and when i pick a sky i want to use it comes out as the pictures not the sky box, and the pictures form tiles and repeat the pattern.
The little boxes should be in the same folder as the sky textures, try scrolling all the way to the bottom.
ahhh i got it now, *bows down to the kind gentleman* thanks man
And to fit a texture, you may need it somewhere else, select one side of the wall with ctrl+shift+click, then press s, a screen will pop up, here you can edit the textures. With fit you can apply the texture only once to the wall. You can also edit the height and stuff by changing the numbers in the screen.
