Actually, I'm all for frankensteining it. If it works... I mean, that's generally what I plan to do with General Jaxun, if I can ever actually make him. Get a mando head model, tweak up the model itself, and skin it to look like my avatar... Get a clone suit, and a couple of those pauldrons, with a Kama, take off the blasters, re-texture the entire thing, and call it a skin. I'd love to get custom sounds too..! That'd make it uber sweet, but... Creating a new model when ALL of the resources are already there is absolutely pointless. Want to see an example of bad-frankenstein? Check out the customizable mandalorian package. The legs are clone trooper armor legs. /lame. /laam. (Not dissing. No. But... Come on. Clone legs?) Good frankensteining is generally what I'm gonna' try to do. At LEAST I'll be retexturing it. Right?
makeing a simple reskin is much easier (and wouldnt take nearly as long) since to make a new model Frakenstein or not you still have to weigh uv wrap and export it without much point since obi can easily be skinned into Luke without much diffrence if anything the hair might make him look closer to how he did in EU *shrug*
Yes, but the jawline would look all wrong, so, no, a reskin of Obi-Wan will not work, I hate to tell you. A model frank- yes, a reskin of Obi-Wan- no.
I agree with forceboat. A frankenstein is DEFINATELY the way to here... It also looks ten times cooler than skinning over Obi.
if you can do it that is lol not that im dobuting you just saying lol alot of people try modeling and nothing comes of it =p me included
katanamaru;4974975He means Toshi's Luke.
Oh, yes. My bad. xD
Toshi's Luke is fine, but, that's more of a cloak than a robe. He needs a proper prequel Jedi type model with a proper prequel Jedi type robe.
