wat programs do most ppl use for moddeling (wich is best) and where can i get it from im just trying a bit of all the things ppl doin the jkja comunity to see wich i have alot of fun with and continuly do that i want to make maps/skins/mods/models to give back to the jkja comunity since i have been downloading peoples stuff for ages thx

First if you look in the first 4 stickys you may get most your awnsers awsnered :P But anyways, you will want to use GTK Radient for mapping.

i highly recommend getting softimage|XSI mod tools, because its a free version of XSI and its also the program that made JA and HL2. all you have to do is a little registration and thats it. unlike gmax it has the exporters you need to compile a player model or vehicle and their site has all the tuts on the program you could ask for. you cand find their site here http://www.softimage.com just look for mod tools. im really trying to help the community to model more and do recolors less, mainly because ive only seen a handfull of skins that actually were good enough to look like they were new models. if your interested in makin player models i can help you and give you the JA skeleton that you have to weigh your model to.
