Hello people,

I'm currently working on a gun pack I want to include with my Shadow-Blade mod.

It's the first time I'm trying to make guns, I already know how to make sabers, and guns are pretty similar, so I thought.

I've exported my gun as a MD3 using these functions: 3ds_fail1.png I'm using 3ds max 7 btw.

but when I try to open the model in MD3view to convert it to a GLA I get the usual 'program not working/crashed' error.

3ds_fail2.png

Am I doing something wrong while saving as MD3?

Your export settings are good (I used same when was making a hilt and it worked).

Is that vista or XP?

Unless you changed that title bar size manually, it looks like you may have a trojan on your computer. But I digress, that's not even related to the problem.

Did you apply a texture to your model before you exported it?

nope, looking at your question, I guess that should do the trick.

MD3View tends to get mad if it has no texture information when you first load the model. Try applying a texture and then loading it and see if you still get the error.
