Hi every1 I'm just wonderin if any1 knows of an md3 model site where ppl can d/l md3's for use in jk3 maps/mods...does anyone know of such a site...or can someone please make a few models for me? The models I'd like are a palm tree model and a possible gaming computer model/ office computer (this would include a mouse, keyboard, computer, monitor, speakers, and anything else i forgot that comes with a standard computer...) I doubt anyone will be willing to take this up but heres some pics just in case.... (Note it doesn't have to look *that* good but thats kind of what I want...even if its CLOSE to that I'd be happy lol) ~ -=Sarge=-
here you got some palmtrees that can be opened in 3dsMax and exported to md3: http://22.214.171.124/models/lw-palmx.zip

If it's a .MAX file, you should be able to open it in Gmax.
Another awesome prospect of Mod Tools :P.

umm..? i didnt understand a thing of what you said in the last post.. but gmax is free and 3dsmax is free in a month. download them and open, and then export to md3.

LWO, LWS, and DIS....i didnt c any max files??!!?? or am i missing somthing? o and what do u mean that 3ds max is free in a month?? r u talking the trial version...or r they releasing it FOR FREE!!!!!
theres for example 3ds - files there which you can import to 3dsmax. and yes, i was talking about the trial -version.
Check this site out, some of the links have map models (or map objects in quake III) They will work in JA. Just remember when adding the models in radiant, that the path is map objects not map models as is the case with JA. As a side note, some of the models have shaders that may need to be tweeked to work with JA. Here is the link:
I hope this helps-Peace!
P.s.-remember to give the author credit and or obtain permission if you plan to use them in your mods.
Any program you have should import a .obj.
