any other ones beside MD3 view that crashes like a lil b&*$% if I import a md3 file from 3dsmax. I'm using the upgraded pop and fresh's md3 export plugin for 3dsmax.

The original version of pop and fresh's did now allow you to save shader image path in md3 file, however it loaded fine into md3view, which would allow me to export as GLM. but sorry, no shader path. So I got the upgraded md3 exporter for 3dsmax which does allow shader path, but the md3 files crash md3 view. The plug in isnt good, I suppose.

I'm on max 4.2 and the plug in does say for 4.2 and 5.

Anybody come across same problem?

Should I get off 3ds max and use a better/different modeler?

3D Studio Max is great, and the older the version is, the more plugins it have. 4.2 is pretty old (I have it on my older computer, I have 5 on this one), so I'm sure you'll find a working md3 or glm exporter.

I heard 6 sucked because it had no plug-ins.

It has xsi export, but no import. That's not a big problem.
