I've found myself really bored lately, so I've decided to at least begin work on version two of my Medieval Times: Melee Redux. If you don't know what it is, check it out HERE. What I would ideally like is the following: -Skinners -Mappers -Modellers -Cheerleaders I know I've already inspired one or two mappers, so come forward and announce it ;) What I want is to get tons of people involved, because I like to see people working together even more than I like seeing people download and enjoy my mods. I don't want to do something grandiose, likea Total Conversion (...yet... :evilgrin: ), but I'd love to include some maps with this version to really give it the feel. I'm even trying to learn to map myself after all this time, but I'm not going to give my patience undue credit... :p Currently I'm planning on redoing some of the weapons and adding some new ones. Of course when I say some I mean as many as humanly possible :rofl: So here are my thoughts so far on what weapons to add: -axes -hammers -different types of shields -some larger swords (i.e. greatswords, bastard swords, etc) -NO oriental weapons, unless someone wants to donate them I'll have to think about it more of course, as I've only sat down for about 10 minutes to contemplate this. I don't have any current plans to add any more player skins, but of course my plans will change according to what kinds of requests/suggestions I get. For this version I'm going to steer away from game-specific weaponry, so don't request anything belonging to a game celebrity. Last but not least, I want your suggestions! The community's suggestions are what made the last pack contain such a variety, so even if you can't mod you can still be a part of the pack. What would you like to see in this one? Don't be shy. The worst we can do is 'boo' you ;). Nah, just kidding. All suggestions are welcomed. So that's the basics. Discuss at your liesure!

If you're interested, I can offer my skinning services once more. I'm none too bad at skinning metal. I'd be more than happy to help out with shields/weapons, as well as skinning any player models. I can also see about helping to make textures for maps if needed. Pretty much just let me know what you'd need made skin-wise, and I'll do my damndest to make it. smilie.gif As far as suggestions go, I'd like to see some more axes in the pack, as well as some Roman weapons. Dunno if you're taking suggestions for player skins/models as well, but I'd say that the classic "knight in shining armour" is a must.

I can offer my limited skinning skills to the mod though as I am still not great I think that I'd be far from the best skinner for the mod. But whatever I can do let me know.

Ditto. This time maybe you can consider on adding ranged weapons too, such as bows or crossbows, or if you want to keep it "melee" then consider persian and african weapons, ofcourse there is not much difference between those kind of weapons except for a few details. I might be able to contribute with some player models (but that depends on how much free time I may have).

I can map some, but have little to no texturing skills (and no programs on my "good" PC). So if someone can provide textures, and maybe a few ideas, I'll attempt a map or two. I'm also still working on a better shield stance.... but I've been running into some problems I'm working out...

Well, as far as modelling and skinning go, I'm not much use, but I do know quite a nice touch about weapons, so I can probably (constructively)criticise the looks of them pretty well smilie.gif. If you need a beta tester, someone to criticise, or just someone to toss ideas into the pot, feel free to call on me.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Good criticism is always useful. No matter how negatively or defensively I react to criticism, I always take it to heart :p
