In my map i wish to have an entity that shoots a concussion laser. to be more specific, it's a big ass gun placed on the side of a star destroyer. however, the (i think) only entity that has this function seems to be very bugged.

it's the misc_weapon_shooter. My keys: Targetname: cannon1 Target: cannontarget1 weapon: WP_CONCUSSION

and the origin and classname ofc.

the problem is that the entity shoots the laser to either an angle of 180 or 360 degrees, and i need it to shoot 270 degrees. the target key doesn't seem to change a thing, other than change the degrees from 180 to 360 degrees, even if the target is located 270 degrees from the misc_weapon_shooter. Sometimes it comes close to 270 degrees, i.e. 260 degrees and a 45 degree angle.

in other occasions, the entity is misplaced almost 1200 units, and it still shots in a 180 degree angle.

shooter_blaster works fine though i wonder if anyone has found a solution for this problem. ;)

What about misc_turret with TURBO flag checked in? (Big-ass, Boxy Death Star Turbo Laser version) Never tried, just placed for test.

Those works, but i place those on top of the ship. for what i'm doing, i need a big ass laser beam that will shoot an fighter out. so, i created a long trigger_multiple brush in the path of where the beam should go.

copying the misc_weapon_shooter brush in the same origin, makes the beam stronger. but that doesn't seem to be the problem when i read threads of 6 years back :/ (those where never solved btw)

Meybe misc_weapon_shooter simply doesn't support what you need :/
