Hello, I was just about to embark on another skinning adventure, this time with the custom Twi'lek model, when I realized that alot of the referred-to skin files in the .skin file were... missing. I have freshly un-zipped the jedi_tf folder, so everything should be there... but it's not. When I load the original (untampered with) model in ModView, alot of skin files turn up missing. Has anyone else experienced this? If not, I'd appreciate if I could download these files from you so that I can have them as a reference for my own skinning... in particular, the set of legs that are just the boots and "bikini" is not there.... Thanks, I'd appreciate your help! ModView comes up with alert boxes listing each of these files as missing: torso_02_clothes.tga torso_02_skin.tga hips_02_clothes.tga hips_02_skin.tga torso_01_clothes.tga torso_01_skin.tga torso_03_clothes.tga torso_03_skin.tga toros_06_clothes.tga toros_06_skin.tga ...and, indeed, they aren't there when I unzip jedi_tf. Help!!!! :(

Weird. I've unzipped the Jedi_tf folder too, and the model opens perfectly. That's very weird. Have you opened the skin files (with notepad). If you didn't simply check if those TGA files are listed in the skin file. And... Those files never existed. I've checked the default Jedi_TF folder and the "Modelling & skinning tools" package, and I haven't found them... However, try deleting the Jedi_Tf folder from your gamedata\base\models folder, than take it again from the assets1.pk3 and paste it again inside the gamedata\base\models folder. After this try to open again the model.glm file.

Ok, I did that again and I actually think I've found what I'm looking for.... lol. I dunno if anything new has sprung up, but I don't know why ModView would refer to files that don't exist; or why the .skin file would, for that matter.

Thanks! :D

I've found where he modified the outfits, but how did he put the blue tatoos on her?! There is like 0 on the actual physical skin of this Twi'lek model.... or on the original jedi_tf, for that matter!!!!! Where are they?!!!!:confused:

Ugh!! it's a 20 MB dload!! From my own comp I can't download it (since I have a 56kbs modem...), and since, for some odd reasons, from the office comp (with fast connection) I can't see JK3files, I'll download it tomorrow from Pcgamemods :D . If I won't be too late I'll come out with a solution\explanation :nodding:

lol, I'm still workin' on it. I just can't see how these ppl modified these skins... and the jedi_tf still isn't loading all the way.... the only outfit that loads completely is the brown cape one and perhaps a pair of pants... I'm going to try to "reverse engineer" someone else's modification of a twi'lek skin, but it will be alot longer process than just using the original skin, I think..... this may be why there aren't that many custom models for the jedi_tf..... I dunno! Thanks for all your help, btw! :D

Nah, All you have to do is to put inside the Jedi_TF folder only the necessary files (Choose the Head, torso and legs skin files, open them and read which files are necessary, then copy-paste inside the gamedata\base\models\players\Jedi_tf folder the skin files and the files they need). However I've dloaded the skin pack now, and now I'm going to take it at home, so I'll be able to see it :)

lol, just did that b4 I read ur post! It's working pretty well, except some of the elements have been moved around.... but I think with alot of work and effort it will come out pretty well. You can see Ayy Vida's face (based on the Woo Lin model http://jediknight.filefront.com/file.info?ID=24488 by Plasma) Here: http://www.spymac.com/gallery/show_photo.php?picid=226146&size=big It's still in development, which is why the forehead doesn't quite blend, and the original necklace is still roughly existent, but hey, I'm workin on it! Do check out Plasma's other skins, they're awesome!

I've already seen some of Plasma's skins time ago, maybe it's time to check again :) However, I've checked the skin files, and the png textures, and it's the first time I've seen something so strange. I really can't find anywhere the blue tatoos! I think that you might get the answer faster if you try to contact him. I'm PMing you his mail right now (otherwise simlply look at the end of the readme txt file inside the zip package  ) edited - I've seen your Aay Vida pic, and it's nice. To make it perfect you should "link" the fact with the head. If you see the head is totally yellow, while the forehead has different "shade"

Ah, the skin is coming along well anyway. Much of the body was completed today; still the boots to go.

I dunno about the stripes... any suggestions? http://www.spymac.com/gallery/show_photo.php?picid=226986
