Hey Guys. Alright, so I've just entered into the idea of skinning, though taking the model I use "Starkiller by HK" I couldn't skin it to what I wanted. If you guys are familiar with The Force Unleashed game you know that Starkiller had a lot of costume changes.

The one I want to get is the Heavy Training Gear. Someone tried to do it already, but they didn't get anywhere near what the game has. I'm looking for a modder that can take the model I have and edit it so that I can skin it. Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

Why do I want this? Well it's my favorite costume of the game, and I'd like to use it. Pretty simple really.

For the reference pics, here's what we got.

These show what I want the model to look like. (Again I can do the skinning just to lighten the work load)

Here is the model/skin I am currently using

Granted I don't know a lick about the modeling aspect, but it seems like you could take what is already there and just add the cloak/cape, the gauntlets over the arms and hands, as well as the back pack like plate.

It's also possible I might be able to give -some- money via paypal for such a service. Not definite, but it's something I'd consider.

That would only be a little illegal. Plus I'm sure it would royally piss off the person who actually made the model in the first place.

Would kind of be like paying someone to paint a moustache on the Mona Lisa, yaknow?

Well here's the thing about the legalities. The people who made the starkiller skin I linked you to didn't have any legal issues doing it. I mean Vincent Valentine, Cloud, Master Chief, a whole host of characters have been made. Also....the guy who made the starkiller mod I showed you has in the readme file that it is perfectly fine with him if you tweak and change the mod to your liking as long as you credit him. So I think that about solves those issues. And if it's the money you're talking about, I don't have to pay anything. I just thought it would be courteous.

Easy enough, no payment. Still looking to see if someone can help me out with this. Any takers?

Technically you can pay someone for a 'service'. Modifying a third party mod is not a crime, it is only said that we shall not via contract.

Inyri had a bad example. Defacing art is vandalism which is against federal law, you don't sign a contract every time you install look at Mona Lisa, therefore they are two different cases.

It's a perfectly fine example, beyond the fact that the Mona Lisa is hardly art. That's what most people do when they "edit" someone's work; they simply deface it, as you put it.
