I really really would like a decent non cartoony model of durge, not only for this mod I am working on, but simply because of the lack of anything for this character in JKA. If there are any modelers out there that are quite good, please do this project with me. I will even have a bash at skinning it, I just don't have good software, or experience to make a complex model. Here is the picture I think the model should be based on... http://www.gwiezdne-wojny.pl/grafika/2003/mar/durge.jpg Please please, help. Oh and err is there any tutorials on shading a skin, (I have gmax, a limited version of milkshape, an almost expired freebie of 3DSMax, pakscape and modview)

Non-cartoony, ie, not cell-shaded.

so get rid of the cell-shaded shader and reskin it and maby give it a nice matalic shader
I was looking threw the forum for possible mod requests and noticed yours. I figured I could use some practice with skinning so I decided I would try and modify the Clone Wars Cartoon Durge model, and try and make it look more realistic, and fit in the JA game more. I removed the outline, and cell shader, and added a metallic shader (you can't see it in modview) and some new textures. I know you are looking for a whole new model, but I thought this may be able to hold you off for a while seeing as how model requests are rarely taken up, and if they are modeling can take a while. If you dont want to use it its cool, I mainly made it to practice skinning. Heres a link: http://files.filefront.com/L_Durgezip/;6239738;;/fileinfo.html And here is a screenshot:

You should get the original author's permission before you go editing their work and distributing it. It's not a rule, per se, but it is a case of common decency.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
thats not such a bad skin, though can anyone tell me how to replace sp npcs without destroying the original assets data. Thnx for the skin
Well all that is required is to give credit to the author, and make sure that no where in the readme it states you must ask for permission. If the author said dont modify this, I wouldent have, but I checked all that out, and there was no where in the readme stating I could not modify it. Oh and to Sinsta, I'm not sure how, I dont work with Singe Player very often.
