Just requesting a model/skin of a model that replaces the dorky-helmeted Rebel/New Republic soldier in JO and JA with the guy from Battlefront: rebelsoldier.png Now, I think MovieBattles II has a model like this, but I've never seen the front of it (I never play online, sue me :P ), so I'm not sure if it's exactly what I want.

I've thought about taking a crack at it myself, but it seem the JA modelling stuff doesn't work unless you have a PC version of the game (to match the PC modelling software) and my version of JA is for the Mac, so...

So, any takers?

Well, if Movie Battles does have a model like that, look into it. If it is what you want, just look for it in the Movie Battles' files and extract it to a seperate pk3 for personal use. It would be plagiarism if you released it for the public's use.

it wouldn't be plagiarism, however, if you got their permission for public release. and credited them for letting you release it publicly.

Made this today after seeing your post:

It's not really a great job - just a quick reskin, if anything, but if you want it, feel free to pm me. In case we end up adding it to MBII, I don't really want to spoil the incentive for people to download our mod, so - sorry - there won't be a public release.

Orignial model and textures were made by Monsoontide & >][V][<.

Textures need a lot of work.

No offense, but so does your feedback, it seems. =p

I'd be grateful for any constructive tips to improve it tho. ;)

They look entirely unfinished. I'd recommend on finishing them.

Unless of course you can't see the disparity in detail between the hat, for instance, and the pants/shirt.

Not sure what got you so bitter, but there's no need to assume the worst of me. ;)

To be honest, I'm just not much of texturer. I can see the disparity, but I lack the knowledge to actually improve it. I mean, I can usually find my way around Photoshop somewhat acceptably once I know what I want, but with this skin, I just didn't know. Kinda liked the washed out look of it, but once I got there, I didn't have even the faintest glimmer of an idea where to go to with from there.

looks really good so far. For the pants some had a more green/brown pattern.
