Hey everyone. I'm having a really frustrating problem. I have someone in my clan working on some custom models for me, and for some reason I can't get the textures to work in Radiant or the game. I honestly have no clue why they won't work. We've tried saving the path name of where he's saving the models, and we've tried disabling it, and neither work. The textures he's using are two 256x256, baseline optimized jpegs. I have also tried resaving them as standard baseline with no results. Is there anything I might be missing or haven't tried yet? It's very crucial that I get these models to work correctly. I don't think this will help, but this is what the editor brings up when I add the model to the map: vfsExtractRelativePath: C:/Games/Jedi Academy/GameData/base/models/jedicouncilgcx/chairb.MD3 cleaned path: c:/games/jedi academy/gamedata/base/models/jedicouncilgcx/chairb.md3 Matching against c:/games/jedi academy/gamedata/base vfsExtractRelativePath: success LOADED: textures/radiant/shadernotex WARNING: Activate shader failed for 1 - Default Thanks for any help you guys can give me! -GC
Okay, my friend gave me the .max file for the chair so I could try to apply the textures myself, but it still refuses to show my textures in the map editor and game. I placed the .max and two .jpg texture files in gamedata/base/models/jedicouncilgcx/, loaded the model in MAX, applied the textures, then exported it as an .md3 to the same folder. Does anyone have a clue why the textures refuse to work?? I was supposed to have my map out a week ago, and this is the only major hangup I'm having, and I refuse to release the map without these chairs....thanks again guys!!
