Are you interested in skinning or modelling? You don't need to open a .glm save for ModView if you want to skin. Go to the tutorials sticky. You can't miss it, it's big, red and at the very top of the thread list.

Well, I want to how to model, but I would like to know how people do that stuff they do in skinning as well. You know, putting wierd symbols, stuff like that. Does this help?

win zip/win rar only opens a pk3 file, those include de glm file that is the model (you can open the model with 3ds max with the glm plug in, but later on you will need to rig to the model the JK3 skeleton so the model can work in game, and that is a realy long job), what you need to do for skinning is to modify the images thats forms the skin. look inside the pk3 file. For skinning look in the tutorials page is not realy difficult.

Ehm, again... the sticky is your master. This really can't be explained in a thread... Hell, I don't get it and i'm on my second attempt to learn modelling.
