I didn't make it!
I made some small changes to a model in 3dsmax and and I can't figure out how to make my new model use humanoid.gla insted of *default for animation, I have tried turtorials and I would like a straight answer insted of a link to a 5 page turtorial

You have to re-rig and re-export it. Once you weigh it and export to XSI, you will use Assimilate to connect the _humanoid.gla to it and convert it to a ghould model (glm). I suggest reading the awesome tutorial by Tim Appleby, which can be found at Psykosith's website (it is linked in our tutorial thread).
