im startd on my first sword model and i think im ready to start doing whatever i do after i make the actrualy model it self can anyone point me towards a tutorial on what i do next or tell me what i do?

UV mapping is the next step...which is easier said than done. I dont know of any tutorials for that modelling program, sorry, but UV mapping is your next step.
Before you can export the model, you have to put a texture on that sword or it will look wrong or be invisible. I am not sure how to do this, but when I installed the XSI mod tool, there was a tutorial window on startup. If you take the dynamite tutorials, they tell you how to do this. After you texture the model, you have to either get a export pluggin or use assimulate to export the model as a .glm. Once you have a glm, look at some other lightsabers and swords and copy their basic stucture to you pk3.

I really hope I'm just imagining this, but are those subdivisions covering the entire surface of the weapon? Go to Edit > Info Scene and post a screenshot of it.
