Hi it's me again, It's not that I like to ask silly questions but I have been trying to make this work for a while now... Im making the sword of Lion-o from the thundercats, and I have finished modeling it...

omenet9.jpg

I still need to uvmap it, but since Im testing the sword in game, it shows fine but it doesn't do any damage:mad:, the blade touches the wall and nothing ( the sword look fine but the blade doesn't cut anything)....I'm sure the tag is well placed because I've taken it from a previous sword that works fine and the md3 doesn't show any error. When I swing it around it looks like if the trail of the sword could be comming out from the center of the character and not the blade. I'm running out of ideas to test... sooo if anyone can help I'll be greatfull

thanks...

What does that have to do with the thread?

Make sure you're tag_blade has no typo's, or else it will come from you're chest/crotch.

it will also do that if you have numBlades 2 instead of numBlades 1 in the ext_data if you have only one tag_blade

Also, try deleting the tag_blade and making a new one. Sometimes it just messes up and you have to make a new tag.

If you took it from another model, did you change it from *blade to tag_blade?

I'm still doing something wrong, I have renamed the tag to tag_blade, also tried to import the sword from another model, import an already sword to the file, made a new tag and the blade still doesn't do anything.

The sab file I believe its also fine.

Omen { name "Omen" saberType SABER_SINGLE saberModel "models/weapons2/Omen/Omen.glm" soundOn "sound/weapons/sword/draw1.mp3" soundLoop none soundOff none numBlades 1 saberLength 40 noblade 1 trailStyle 1

soundOn "sound/weapons/sword/draw1.mp3" soundOff "sound/weapons/sword/draw1.mp3" spinsound "sound/weapons/sword/spin.mp3"

swingSound1 "sound/weapons/sword/swing1.mp3" swingSound2 "sound/weapons/sword/swing2.mp3" swingSound3 "sound/weapons/sword/swing3.mp3"

fallSound1 "sound/weapons/sword/fall1.mp3" fallSound2 "sound/weapons/sword/fall2.mp3" fallSound3 "sound/weapons/sword/fall3.mp3"

hitSound1 "sound/weapons/sword/stab1.mp3" hitSound2 "sound/weapons/sword/stab2.mp3" hitSound3 "sound/weapons/sword/stab3.mp3"

idleInBack "1"

}

At least I'm not sure if the shape of the mesh has anything to do with the funcionality of the sword (the hilt of the sword is more bigger or longer than any regular sword because of the circle in the middle), or maybe I should try to import a tag from a lightsaber. I realy don't know. It can't be that difficult:mad::mad::mad:.
