Check the tutorials sticky, there are modelling tutorials in there and links to download Gmax and XSI. By the way, your sig is over the limit...

The FAQPlease remember that your signature cannot not be larger than 300 characters or an image measuring no more than 800 by 160 pixels and one line of standard sized text. You can have more if the image in your signature is smaller than the limit.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

You're not selling the disc, you're selling the software, and the million in research and development than went into creating the software. How about you spend 10 years developing something and sell it for $10?

Something like 3DS Max is a lot more expensive to create than a video game, and it is used to make video games. Therefor it kind of makes sense to pay more for it, doesn't it?

point well argued but surley you shudnt have to pay the £100 some companies charge or monthly charges the same as with games like wow ppl dnt like to pay monthly and for the obvius reason you should buy it once and that should be the end of it anyone else agree with me on that one?

Not really, people need salaries, how many people work on the software is amazing and how useful some of these tools can be is equally amazing.

Also with the WoW comment, I prefer not to pay monthly fees but there is such a thing as paying for servers, allowing updates and paying people a regular wage.

Note: Could you please remove or resize your signature, the signature restrictions are ; 800px x 160px maximum and maximum of one image.
