my question is this i make a func train with a destroyable object in its path. i dont want the train to move until the object in its way is destroyed. When i load it in the map the train just goes through the object...how can i make it so that the train wont move until the object is destroyed plz help ~Gotenks

Well.... you might be able to just connect the breakable item to the func_train, so, when its broken it automatically starts moving.

Another way to do this is to script it. Just make a script that loops a model/brush moving from ref_tag to ref_tag, that is triggered when the breakable brush is destroyed.

yea, maybe if u add a target from the breakable to the train, it might work...

well when u press N when u ahev the breakale seleted, type key: target and value: a1 then on the train, key: targetname, value: a1

This is easy to do. I will give you a direct answer so you don't have to sift through all the one sentence posts.

  • Make your func_train and your func_breakable; then make a target_activate.
  • Add the following keys: for the target_activate targetname : activate target : train for the func_train targetname : train for the func_breakable target: activate
  • add all the path corners and normal stuff that you would do for your train

well it is working but theres one problem...before i destroy the object in its path i fall through the train...once i destroy the object and the train is moveing i can stand on it again...so how do i make it so even before the object destryed i can stand on the train??

hmm. I'm not sure about that one. I suppose you could just have a func usable that is targeted by the func_breakable. Mess around with it and see what you get.
