Hey. I just downloaded shiftee's Darth Stalker model, and it works wonderfully in Multiplayer. However, when I attempt to use the model in single player via console commands "Playermodel Sith_Stalker" i think it was (These are based on the folder name the model is located within the pk3 correct>, the game freezes up. I'm wondering what's causing this, and how I would go about fixing it. Thanks.

You need to create a .npc file first, I don't think he included one. What to do:

Extract an npc file from assets1.pk3. (Ext_data/npcs/reborn.npc). Turn "read only" to off, then open the file with notepad. Then change the bit where it says "Model reborn", and change the "reborn" to "Sith_Stalker", or whatever the folder name of the model was. Then edit the "Name" of the NPC(Should be right above "Model"), so it says "Sith_Stalker". Save the file, rename it, and put it in an "Ext_data/npcs" folder, then add the "Ext_data" to the starkiller pk3 file. I hop that made sense, I'm not very good at explaining this.

Makes perfect sense. Thanks alot. I'm going to go try that right now and see if that works. I think it's interesting that it needs a special NPC file for the function of using a model. Is there any specific reason it cant read the normal model correctily?

Mmmk. Lemme fix it up for you real quick. I was adding him to the movieduels mod so that i could do some more runs on the jedi temple in there with a more interesting character lol. Gotta do the file for the normal game.

By the way Dakari, it works well. Now my only problem is animations. I havent modded on the ghoul engine before so i'm a bit unsure about whether the animations and the model are together, or animations are in a seperate file. Mind giving me a few pointers about the animation system again? thanks alot.

Figured out how to code the singleplayer NPC https://rapidshare.com/files/336972910/ext_data.zip 1 kb dl ftw. filefront wouldnt allow the attachment for some reason...

Happy to help!

About animations, to you mean binding a .gla file to the .glm model? (I:e, making it so the stalker uses separate animations than everyone else) To do that, get a hex editor(I use Notepad++ with a plugin), and open the .glm file, and go to the part where it says "Models/players/_humanoid/_humanoid.gla", and change it to whatever your gla path is.(I:e, models/players/_humanoid_stalker/_humanoid_stalker.gla) Hope it helps!

Thanks again!

I just downloaded the plugin for notepad ++. Got it in Uni. When i opened the glm, it came up with a few lines that were seperated by a bunch of gibberish hexadecimal values. I'm going to attempt to change it according to the form you perscribed, but in the files i'm cross referencing it to, it seems theres no .gla after the fodlers. I'm going to edit when i get the results.

Works perfectily. Thanks alot!

I just tried SP with it, it works fine, but is there a way to have the model showing up in cutscenes?
